Online Services

eTransfers (External Transfers) is a service within Online Banking that allows you to set up electronic fund transfers between your Credit Union account and your checking or savings accounts at other financial institutions.

How much does eTransfers cost?

eTransfers is a FREE service for IBMSECU Members!

What kinds of transfers can I set up?

You can set up one-time and recurring transfers, both incoming or outgoing.

How do I enroll in eTransfers?

Log-in to Online Banking and click on “All Services” and choose “Funds Transfer.” Click on the “External (eTransfers)” tab. Follow the on-screen instructions to enroll in the service. Before you can begin using the eTransfers service, you will need to set up and verify your external accounts which can take up to two business days.

How do I set up my external accounts?

You will need the account numbers and routing numbers for all the external accounts that you would like to set up for eTransfers. Log-in to Online Banking and click on “All Services” and choose “Funds Transfer.” Click on the “Accounts” tab and then click “Add New External Account.” For security reasons, the system will generate and send a One Time Password (OTP). You will have to enter the OTP that was received via text and/or email before continuing the process. Once the OTP is verified, you will need to enter details about your external account and then select “Finish.”

Allow two business days before you access your external account to identify two transactions of the same amount (one debit and one credit) from the Credit Union. Return to the Funds Transfer section of Online Banking and click on “Accounts.” Click on the green check mark next to the new account which will be listed under “External Accounts.” Enter the exact dollar amount of the transactions and click on “Verify.” Once the dollar amount matches, your account is verified and available for fund transfers.

How do I make eTransfers?

After your external accounts are set up and verified, click on the “External (eTransfers)” tab within the Funds Transfer section in Online Banking. Select whether you want to transfer funds out of the Credit Union or in to the Credit Union. Your available accounts will be displayed in drop down menus. Select the accounts you want to transfer to/from and the dollar amount that you would like to transfer, then click Continue. Select a one-time or recurring transfer and enter the date that you want the transfer to occur by. If you select a recurring transfer, you will need to set up the transfer frequency. Select Continue and review your transfer for any errors. If it is set up correctly, click Okay and your transfer is scheduled. You can review and edit your scheduled transfers from the “Transfers” tab.
