IBMSECU’s Southeast Credit Union Foundation Awards Five $2,500 Scholarships

Local Credit Union Announces 2018 SECU Foundation Scholarship Recipients

 

IBM Southeast Employees’ Credit Union's Southeast Credit Union Foundation strongly believes in investing in the success of young minds. The SECU Scholarship Program is just one way they give back to the community.  

The Foundation is pleased to announce their 2018 Scholarship recipients. From Florida: Alejandra Gutierrez, Arielle Ahrendts, and Madison Burmeister. From Georgia: Christopher Stephens and William Knight. These $2,500 student scholarships will give students the assistance and motivation to further their education. 

The mission of the Southeast Credit Union Foundation is to improve the lives of children and families in the communities we serve. All proceeds raised from annual icon and candy sales in IBMSECU branches along with the Kilometers for Our Community Virtual 5k and other fundraising events were donated directly to the foundation and used to support causes like local scholarship awards and school supplies for children in need.

The 2019 SECU Scholarship Program applications will be accepted in March 2019. Graduating high school seniors or currently enrolled college, university, or trade school students can apply by writing an essay or creating a video that describes your career goals. Further your education today and apply.

The Southeast Credit Union Foundation Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization registered in the state of Florida.
