Free Credit Reports: Under the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACT Act), consumers can request and obtain a free credit report once every 12 months from each of the three nationwide consumer credit reporting companies: Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion.
There are three convenient ways to request a free credit report*:
- Online
- By Phone - Call 877.FACT.ACT (877.322.8228) to request your free credit report by phone. You will go through a simple verification process over the phone and your reports will be mailed to you.
- By Mail - Download this form and return it to the address listed on the form. Your credit report will be mailed to you.

The agencies will put a fraud alert on your file, which will aid in preventing new credit accounts from being opened without your express permission. Credit Monitoring: It's important now, more than ever, to keep a close eye on your credit. With the help of your Credit Union, along with Equifax, you can now monitor your credit online!
