On September 26, 2009, our Credit Fraud & ID Theft seminar was presented to the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International - Alpha Omega Chapter. The seminar taught participants about common sources of ID theft and steps to deter, detect and defend yourself against ID theft.
On May 9, 2009, IBM Southeast EFCU employees participated in the Susan G. Komen Race For The Cure in Atlanta, GA.
On May 1, 2009, our Credit Fraud & ID Theft seminar was presented to the Corporate & Community Training and Entrepreneur Development Institutes of the Indian River State College in Vero Beach, FL.
On April 25, 2009, IBM Southeast EFCU employees participated in the March of Dimes Walk at the FAU campus in Boca Raton, FL and raised $750.
On January 31, 2009, IBM Southeast EFCU employees participated in the Komen South Florida Race For The Cure and raised more than $700.
On January 19, 2009, our Smart Youth Finance seminar was presented to 30 Girl Scouts from the Jupiter Service Unit. Participants learned about money management, supporting themselves when they leave their parents' house, responsibly handling bank accounts, buying a car and establishing credit.
On January 13, 2009, a representative from IBM Southeast EFCU presented our Credit 101 seminar to the Pentecostal Gospel Temple in Margate, Florida. There were approximately 40 attendees. The Credit 101 seminar covers topics such as credit reports, credit scores, smart management of credit usage and resources for financial assistance.
On December 18, 2008, representatives from IBM Southeast EFCU presented our Smart Youth Finance seminar to the Women of Tomorrow Mentoring Group, a group consisting of students from Nova High School in Davie, Florida. The Smart Youth Finance seminar is designed for participants aged 15-25 and covers topics such as money management, budgeting, buying a car, managing bank accounts and establishing credit.
On September 27, 2008, IBM Southeast EFCU's Boca Raton branches participated in the American Heart Association's South Palm Beach County Start! Heart Walk, which raised $207,385.
On August 23, 2008, IBM Southeast EFCU's Atlanta branches participated in a Bowl-A-Thon, which raised $62,063 for the Children's Miracle Network.
